Merritt And Barlow Girls’ Big Boxing Gloves
Hey everyone,
Tony Nolan here checkin’ in from the WJ tour. Things are going absolutely amazing as God has been moving His spirit in the WJ concerts, and we’ve already seen over 23,000 people make decisions for Christ. GO GOD! Thank you, Jesus!
I wanted to take just a couple minutes to share with you just how awesome one of our awesome WJ bands are, and how much BarlowGirl has recently blessed a young man by the name of Merritt. I want to shout out big props to BarlowGirl and Merritt for blessing my life so much in the last few days.
Merritt is a young brother of mine that has been battling leukemia. I’ve been able to spend some one-on-one time with Merritt, and to see his love for Jesus, along with his spirit and will to fight this cancer and to live, has just completely rejuvenated my spirit. One thing that Merritt had shared with me was how much he loves BarlowGirl.
While back on the tour, I shared the story of Merritt with the BarlowGirls, and they wanted to bless Merritt with some special gifts. They took that opportunity to autograph some pictures and drumsticks for Merritt. And they also took some BarlowGirl ‘boxing gloves’ that they sell at their merchandise table, and they signed the gloves for Merritt. But then they stood together inside of their tour bus, holding the gloves up towards Heaven, and prayed to God that he would give Merritt the strength to fight the cancer, and that God would “knock out” the leukemia right out of Merritt’s body. How so very cool is that? You BarlowGirls ROCK!
I was able to take all of those items by the hospital and give them to Merritt today. He was so thrilled. And he made me laugh so hard, as Merritt reminded me that the BarlowGirls “still owe him a kiss…” I love this 14-year-old young man! Merritt, I will be praying for you my brother, and we’ll believe together that God is going to knock out your sickness. Thanks for encouraging my soul. And thank you to the BarlowGirls for being the real deal!
Go God!

WOW...What an awesome testimony of LOVE! This is one of the reasons I really like Christian artists. There is so much selflessness that you do not see in the secular entertainment industry.
